One thing that is an obvious common danger to cyclists at night is the fact that it is not easy for other road users to see you unless you wear proper reflective clothing and have good powerful lights mounted on your bike. The last thing you need is to be involved in an accident with another road user who couldn’t see you.

Most rear cycle lights mount on the seat pillar but there are also some that mount on the bicycle frame. Be careful where you mount the light on the bike though because where legislation exists for cycle lighting it is normal to see minimum height from the ground requirements etc. For example it may be illegal to use flashing strobe type lights although they now seem to be more and more widely accepted.

The old filament bulb type of cycle lamp seems to have had its day now with more and more LED style lights coming onto the market with comparable power and usually more favourable battery life.

As mentioned above there may be some limitations as to the type of light you can use on your bicycle and one of the most common restrictions is that the light must be ’steady’ as opposed to flashing. You will find that most modern LED lights have a steady mode as well as a flashing mode but you may find it beneficial to have two lights mounted. Fulfill legislative requrements with one steady light and ensure you are seen by everyone by using a flashing light as well. It is also possible to achieve this in a single unit that has multiple LEDs as some of them let you set one section of LEDs to a steady state and another section to a flashing state.

One word of caution is that although a flashing light tends to be more visible to motorists and other road users it is sometime difficult to judge the distance to them and there is a suggestion that if the driver behind you is drunk they could actually be attracted to the flashing light. These caution notes though only really serve to backup the fact that you should have both steady and flashing lights on the rear of your bike.

Another reason to have two lights mounted on the rear of your bicycle rather than relying on a single unit is battery life. You tend to find that LED lights will simply fail much quicker once battery power falls below a certain level. So, it is useful to have a second light installed that you can switch to in the case of failure.

So, if your normal routine is to ride at night or if on a particular day the light level is particularly low, make sure you have adequate lights mounted to your bike and make sure that they meet any local legislation as well.

There are a number of manufacturers of high quality rear lights for your bicycle, including Cateye and Blackburn and at Cycling Lights we have a number of other rear lights to choose from at great prices.

Deep cycle batteries are a great way to add to your green agenda. While probably best known for their use in storing energy generated by solar panels, these power sources require less maintenance, last longer and are cleaner than regular batteries. Highly versatile, they are being utilized in more and more applications, allowing people to reduce their carbon footprint and their dependence on fossil fuels. A look at how batteries work will help you understand how these durable, cost effective power sources are playing an important role in alternative energy and green technology.

Batteries do not create energy; they store it. The real difference between a deep cycle and a starter battery is its purpose. A starter battery provides a huge surge of energy to start a car engine. These batteries are then recharged using the automobile’s alternator. They work well for cars, but not for equipment that requires a constant power supply for longer periods of time. A deep cycle battery is designed to give a long-term charge. It also releases power consistently to prevent it from being drained too quickly. It is designed to use up to 80% of its stored energy, providing a longer period of usage. This gives the deep cycle battery much greater versatility for environmentally safe applications.

One great environmentally friendly application of deep cycle batteries is their use with solar panels. During a sunny day, solar panels power electrical equipment while diverting some energy to batteries. After the sun goes down, the batteries pick up the slack and keep the power source consistent. This eliminates the limitations of solar power and offers a great complement to alternative energy sources!

Another advantage of using deep cycle batteries is their durability. The fact that they distribute power slowly over time makes them efficient and versatile. They can be used to power small residences or recreational vehicles the same way traditional power methods work. They last for years, making them a good investment over other types of power. Also, thanks to dropping battery technology prices, high efficiency models that require almost no maintenance are becoming more and more affordable.

Thanks to all these factors, this type of power source is replacing gasoline-powered generators at ever increasing rates. And since they work so well with solar panels, they afford two bonuses – they make using a renewable resource more convenient by storing power while making many forms of fossil fuel power less desirable.

Going green and saving green go hand-in-hand. Reducing consumption of fossil fuels that power everything from the lights in your home to the lights in your car what the green movement is all about. The entire world is focused on ways to reduce the use of carbon based fuels. Deep cycle batteries are being used in more common applications. They are popping up in planes, cars, and trains. Given the versatility, economy and environmental friendliness of deep-cycle batteries, they are sure to be a big part of future green power solutions.

In conlcusion, the company’s aim is to introduce new interesting ideas in cycling, with flair, exceptional bicycle design, passion and meet every emerging demands for road and off road bike experience.
Over the many decades, these bikes have a particular importance in the history of cycling. The experience gained through these years helped the company to develop innovative technology for cycling professionals and casual riders alike. The group’s bike technology now presents a collection of more than 40 models: racing bikes, mountain bikes, “verde natura” and “city” line, super light and junior bikes. New and upcoming models includes stunning designs perfect for racing, flat bar, city living and mountain bikes.
It all began when Ottavio Bottecchia began working with Teodoo Carnielli and starts manufacturing racing bikes, making use of his knowledge he acquired from the Tour de France in 1926. In 1930, after Bottecchia’s death, the Carnielli family takes the business forward and makes Bottecchia a well-known bike brand name in Europe, and exporting to the US with great success. On the whole, the business expanded under the Carnielli family. Throughout the years, the small Carnielli workshop gradually develops into an industry. And there are around 100 workers who build Bottecchia bikes between 1930 and 1940. At the end of the sixties, the old Teodoro passes on the baton to his sons Guido and Mario. In 1973, the world’s first folding bike was produced and it was very successful in Europe. Yet in 1997, Bottecchia was acquired by the Turato family who has had two generations of history in bike manufacture – the Cicli Esperia. In 2006, the group sells over 50,000 bikes throughout Europe and looks to expand outside of Europe considering the US, Asia and the Pacific. If truth be told, there are already over 50,000 bikes that were sold in Europe at that point. It was also, in 2006 when the cycles assign exclusive distributors in Australia and New Zealand. Today, the company produces around 70 models in order to meet every kind of demand, and its earnings increases year by year.
Being a pioneer in the bike and cycle trade industry, Bottecchia has developed ground breaking technology molded to both of its racing and transport model bikes. Bottecchia cycles are not only classy pieces of kit but also well designed with very good equipment at a very reasonable price. The technology behind every bike is taken from the concept of revolutionary practices with the rider and his/her environment in mind. Thanks to its know-how, combining tradition and advanced technology, the company’s purpose is to be also in the new millennium a point of reference for the cycling sector.

One of the most powerful approaches you can use to understand the market better is a sales cycle analysis. Gaining a strong appreciation for the good, the bad, and the ugly news about your market positioning in relationship to your competition is not always easy and if there is bad news it is typically difficult to hear. However, not knowing where you stand is at best dangerous and it could prove fatal.

Sales cycle analysis is about understanding why you do or do not get on the short list of your prospects (or stay on the short list of you customers) and what will facilitate or impede your progress toward becoming a preferred supplier, which is of course the position we obviously all want to be in.

If knowledge is power than sale cycle knowledge is royalty. It tells you where to focus your messaging and your product or service development efforts. In addition, the information has a high competitive intelligence quotient. If you learn about your company’s strengths and weaknesses, you can gain a tactical advantage. Learning where you are strong and weak in relationship to competitors is a strategic advantage. Studies of sales cycles, almost by definition, provide competitive insights; it is not enough to know if you are on the short list, you need to know who is on it with you.

There is certainly more than one approach to achieving insight into the sales cycle dynamics of customers and prospects and we won’t try to explore all the options here. However, it is worth stating that a commitment to understanding these dynamics is not a one shot effort. If you and your company are serious about sales and the factors that are or will hinder or propel your sales, you would be well served by tracking sales cycle metrics at least annually.

Part of the attraction offered by sales cycle analysis is the ability to explore the reasons customers and prospects abandon your brand as they move through the buying decision process. For example, you may learn that “being preferred” by a specific buyer is not enough to make the sale, but it is not your fault. Some company policies funnel sales only to approved suppliers. Although the person you are talking with likes your brand, when the time comes to buy he or she simply cannot purchase from your company without risking dismissal.

Do you give up? No you find out exactly what you have to do to get on the approved supplier list and make it happen! However, if you do not know that this is the problem than you cannot take the appropriate action.

For better or worse, markets continue to evolve quickly. A very good way to stay close to the action is to track market activity systematically. Creating a baseline and measuring off that starting point is an essential component of the process. Any sailor who races will tell you a good clean start at the line is imperative if you want to win the race.

In addition, you can structure sales cycle studies to help maximize your reach tactics. How to best reach your audience is a function of understanding how they search for information and more precisely how customers and prospects search for information at each stage of the buying process. Moreover, the new reach equation must now include social networking and social media. To ignore these fast growing marketing and sales opportunities would be foolish and certainly hinder your total sales effort.

Combining information on brand and product positioning with a continually updated view of reach dynamics is a powerful tool in the hands of a savvy marketing professional. So, what are you waiting for?

              Hi Mick,

I am not sure where to send a question to so i tried this address. I have recently purchased all the laymans guides and got a lot of knowledge about steroids, but i had a question about winstrol oral or a suggested oral for a first time user. i would like to know what a good 4 week cycle would be and if it needs to be pyramided or if Nolvadex needs to be used during the cycle or in a PCT or if a PCT is necessary? I am not ready for the needle yet and just wanted to see how an oral would affect me first then i will try a stack.

I am 33 , 6\’1\”, 220lbs. and am just looking to put on some size and loose some fat. i have been training regularly for the past 2 years any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for everything. Bradley.

Hi Brad,

Because you have been specific in your choice of steroid then the answer is basically simple but with a few side points that you need to take note of.

A four week cycle of eg would in my opinion be neither here nor there for many reasons. One would be the fact that Winstrol is indeed a low toxic steroid that I agree is safe to use but on the other hand the amount of time that you have chose for this cycle would be, well, almost at a lost to be fair, Winstrol (stanzolol) is indeed one for the safety conscious – nothing wrong with that but if you are looking for some gains at least then you would need to up the ante a little even if that ante is 6-8 weeks which would be more like it.

Another reason would be your size etc, you are not a small bloke and you would be hard pressed to see much of a difference with the time that you allocate for this purpose. I would opt for an 8 week cycle as is actually featured in my Layman\’s Guides series for beginners.

PCT? On what you suggest and even with the 8 week option I don\’t feel that pct would be a problem at all to be honest but the addition of Tribulus and Zinc would assist your body in re-setting its hormones without the aggressive addition of something like HCG. Trib and Zinc should be taken THROUGHOUT the course and can be obtained from most health food stores otc. can reach us on 01246 811 013 (++44 1246 811013 overseas)

Hi Mick,

I would just like to say firstly i really enjoyed the information on your e books, kept me reading for hours, and not to mention not getting up for work in time being up all night reading, but good reading it was. i am looking to do my first cycle and only want to do orals to start is there a cycle and particular steroid you would advise to use many many thanks.

Hi Gerry,

My choice would be Stromba (Stanazolol) simply because it is a good clean steroid that has low water retention properties that are better for the beginner in fact they are better all round to be fair. Some people can be fooled into believing that a lot of their gains are pure muscle when in fact a large percentage can be water retention and too much of this can lead to blood pressure problems if continued on a long term basis.

My second choice would be Dianabol and even though is the choice most people would put first I place it second because of the reasons stated above. Blood pressure and me do not go together that is a fact. But Dboll gives fast strength and size gains which are usually over and above those of Stromba so for the impatient ones amongst us the latter is the perfect choice. However the use of Nolvadex is a MUST with Dboll to help to prevent the build up of estrogen and should some numbnut tell you that you don\’t need nolvadex either because it will slow gains down or that \”bitch tits\” is a rare occurrence just remember if you DO get \”bitch tits\” there is no getting rid of it unless you are prepared for surgery and the \”tits\” will be on you not your so called mate who helped you decide that is not needed – but it is without a doubt!

Let’s say your current gas powered leaf blower no longer does its job. What do you do?

That is the time to get a Makita 4 cycle leaf blower. It will rise to the occasion every time you call on it.

Have you had any experience with 4 cycle engines? They’re amazing!

It’s not necessary to fool with messy gas and oil mixtures. You help “save the planet” because there are no more noxious fumes. Add quiet operation. And best of all, quality performance.

The full intent behind having a gas leaf blower is definitely so obvious it never actually gets any thought until your engine does not crank (that’s “start” for you Northern folks).

When this writer moved into our present abode, I bought what I thought would be the leaf blower I would go to the grave with. It was highly rated and a choice of many professional landscape contractors. Although it was not a backpack device, it was supposed to be “top quality.”

I had been never really overly impressed with the performance of my alleged “first class” cleanup tool (aka leaf blower). And after having plenty of difficulty even getting the engine started, I took it in for a tune up.

Upon my arrival home with my newly tuned-up leaf blower, the engine would not even sputter. So I put it back in the car and took it back to the small engine repair center, and, wouldn’t you know it, it cranked up right away. However, once I finally slinked home with my tail between my legs, the thing would not get going at all. During the next couple of weeks, my broom got a serious workout, and so did I.

That’s when it became quite apparent that a tool that does not do its job is pretty much worthless.

Just bear in mind that I NEVER would have gone on a Google search for gas powered leaf blowers had mine not quit on me.

My search centered on the 4 cycle leaf blower once I discovered all the fantastic user reviews. I am also interested in pollution control, which meant that mixing gas and oil for fuel was not my top pick.

I wound up obtaining the Makita 4 cycle leaf blower as a result of excellent user comments. This one review especially had an effect on my decision: “My new engine started on the second pull, and I have never had to use 2 pulls since then..”

My own new Makita 4 cycle leaf blower encounter has been quite comparable, except for the time I forgot to prime the carburetor – I pulled 3 times and realized my error, then it started on the first pull. This is one amazing gas powered leaf blower, friends and neighbors.

There are two minor concerns I have, just to be entirely honest. However, they don’t really have an effect on the performance of the Makita 4 cycle leaf blower.

First is the directions that come with the machine. These were obviously not written by someone with a command of the English language. Although Makita has a US division, the guidelines were not written in a simple to use way. Some very close reading was necessary simply because I wanted to be sure I started the 1st time using the correct process.

Secondly is the prime pump. It’s a bit challenging to when you have fat fingers. However, as already stated, this does not hamper how the blower performs, but because the pump is “hidden” you must search for it.

The last word here is that I don’t have any reason to be searching the Internet for gas powered leaf blowers, since I now have a great one. I am one happy Makita 4 cycle leaf blower owner.

As a home owner with a large yard, I need the best tools available. When my old gas powered leaf blower gave up the ghost, I found that a Makita 4 cycle leaf blower was just the machine to make yard clean up a breeze.

Cyclists all agree on one thing when it comes to cycling. Climbing is one of the hardest skills a cyclist can acquire. But when you have it, it will bear prove to your months of training of riding the bike effectively. Climbing is often deemed difficult, especially by beginners.

A person might get discouraged immediately when he or she sees a very steep and uneven ground surface even before climbing it. Climbing can be done with a road or mountain bike. It takes time to develop such a skill (climbing). It also takes much practice.

The number one mistake that people make is cycling with big gears when going up a hill. This will only induce fatigue in the long term when going uphill. What will happen is that your legs will be pumped up and your heart rate is elevated beyond normal.

The problem is that the human body has a limited time period where they are performing beyond normal. This is known as the anaerobic state where oxygen is not used to supply energy. The solution is to maintain a constant cadence. Instead of measuring your uphill adventure by using speed, you should use cadence.

The key is to maintain a specific cadence throughout your uphill journey. This could be as low as 50 rounds per minute or as high (recommended if you are fit) as 65 rounds per minute. But a high cadence like 65 rounds per minute is only possible (in most cases) if you use smaller, lighter gears. Sure, you could use them. It is fine to do so as long as you maintain a high rather than low cadence.

Remember that cycling uphill with big gears will tire you sooner than you know it. Using big gears will force your cadence to become low. Unless you are a cycling monster, you should shift to lower gears. As another tip, you should use alternate your muscles when cycling uphill. How to do this? The answer is simple. Stand up from time to time.

Instead of sitting down, standing up while cycling will enable you to leverage your body weight into transferring energy for your pedaling efforts. What about the thought of standing up all the time? This will leverage all my body weight all the time when going uphill, right? Still, the logical answer to that question is no. There is no difference if you just cycle using big gears and standing up all the time while cycling uphill. It will cause you to get tired much faster and this is a bad thing.

So you already know all about cycling uphill. Have you ever given a thought on mens cycling shorts?

Please allow me to present you this topic as it won’t take long before you will get to know everything about it.

If you are suffering from a flea infestation, understanding the flea life cycle can help you form a strategy that can for good get rid of fleas from your home. However, before you begin to eliminate the fleas that have taken residence, you need to understand that it takes a little over two years to substantiate that no more fleas will get back to your household. <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview(’/outgoing/article_exit_link’);” href=” http://www.fleasreviews.info/Flea-Life-Cycle.php “>Click Here</a>

The first stage of the flea life cycle is the least harmful to humans, but the most problematic. This is the egg stage. Female fleas will deposit her eggs on people, pets and surfaces, laying up to fifty eggs or more in a single day. This can lead to the production of hundreds of eggs per week, all of which could become a female flea ready to lay more eggs. It is critical that a flea infestation is nipped at the bud, and female fleas are prevented from laying eggs.

The second and 3rd phase of the flea life cycle is the larvae and pupae stages. This is the development of the flea inside the egg. The larvae cycle can last from two days or more, with no chances of the egg hatching during this stage. It is the pupae stage that can cause problems. Ranging from two days to two years, the pupa lays in wait for a good chance to hatch. It is very difficult to kill fleas that are in these stages, as they are protected from chemicals by the shells of their eggs. However, especially potent chemicals have the power to break down the structure of the egg and kill the growing flea within.

The final stage of the flea life cycle is the fully grown flea. These are the creatures that cause problems for human beings and pets, bite, and usually trigger at least two weeks of misery as people and pets recover from the damage of a flea bite. Many of the treatments available target the grownup flea, as preventing the adults from breeding is fundamental in destroying an infestation.

Knowing how long the flea life cycle lasts can help you make certain that you maintain the regime until the last of the eggs has died away. Having your home maintain a very low humidity and coolness will help foreclose the egg from ever hatching, which is fundamental to preventing a new infestation from occurring. Treatments of Borax soap, Front Line, Advantage and other flea killing substances will prevent any eggs that do hatch from starting another infestation. <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview(’/outgoing/article_exit_link’);” href=” http://www.fleasreviews.info/Flea-Life-Cycle.php “>Click Here</a>

With a little care and effort, you can keep your home flea free, allowing you to live in comfort.

Dominant Follicle Diameter Helps Select Optimal Day for Oocyte Retrieval in IVM Cycles
In vitro maturation (IVM), a novel assisted reproduction technique, reduces risks associated with in vitro fertilization (IVF) as the eggs are retrieved, matured and fertilized in vitro prior to implantation, thereby eliminating ovarian stimulation. However, the factors predisposing the success or failure of IVM cycles are unclear. Now, a recent study published in the December issue of the journal, Human Reproduction suggests that dominant follicle (DF) size of =14mm at oocyte retrieval following human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) priming improves pregnancy outcomes in cycles programmed for IVM treatment.
Weon-Young Son from the McGill University, Montreal, and coworkers conducted a study on 160 women with polycystic ovaries (171 cycles) to compare the DF size at oocyte retrieval after hCG priming with IVM outcome. When the endometrial thickness reached a minimal of 6 mm, the researchers subcutaneously administered 10,000 IU hCG, 35 to 38 hours prior to oocyte collection. The retrospective analysis was performed in 3 study groups based on the DF diameter: group 1, with a diameter of =10 mm; group 2, between 10 and 14 mm; and group 3 of >14mm. In the corresponding 3 groups, 6.9%, 10.6%, and 15.1% of the in vivo matured oocytes were collected, suggesting a positive correlation between the size and number of oocytes.
Results showed that among the sibling immature oocytes extracted in the 3 groups, the rates of IVM, fertilization and embryo development were similar. It was found that group 3 exhibited a lower clinical pregnancy rate (17.1%) compared to group 2 (40.3%). Furthermore, groups 1 (13.6%) and 2 (14.3%) had higher implantation rates than group 3 (4.9%). Based on the study findings, the researchers proposed DF =14mm as the optimal oocyte retrieval time for IVM cycles, as DF >14 mm may detrimentally affect the sibling immature oocytes.
Earlier, the same group of researchers conducted a retrospective study (Human Reproduction, 2008) to investigate if an extension in the time interval between hCG priming and immature oocyte retrieval enhances the oocyte maturation rate after IVM. The assisted reproduction technique was performed on 113 polycystic ovary syndrome patients (120 cycles) and the oocytes were collected at either 35 hours (group 1=76) or 38 hours (group 2 = 44) following 10,000 IU of hCG priming. The oocyte maturity was analyzed after the retrieval and the culture of the immature oocytes was performed till day 2 using IVM medium. It was found that the number of in vivo matured oocytes was considerably lower in group 1 (13.6%) compared to group 2 (7.3%). Also, group 2 exhibited a higher oocyte maturation rate after day 1 (46.3 vs. 36.0%), clinical pregnancy (40.9 vs. 25%) and implantation rates (15.6 vs. 9.6%) than group 1. Based on the findings, the scientists suggested that extending the time of hCG priming from 35 hours to 38 hours for oocyte retrieval could improve the pregnancy outcome of IVM cycles.
In vitro maturation of immature oocytes collected from unstimulated ovaries is an assisted reproduction technology that is extensively being studied. Some of the advantages of IVM over IVF are that it is less expensive, has shorter treatment regimen, and does not require the use of hormonal fertility drugs for ovarian stimulation. It may thereby eliminate the risk of developing ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome and multiple pregnancies.
Several previous studies have indicated that controlled ovarian stimulation in combination with in vitro fertilization cycles provide better results compared to in vitro maturation techniques. Now, the identification of the optimal hCG priming time and dominant follicle size for oocyte retrieval may help in enhancing the success rates of the novel IVM technique with fewer adverse effects compared to IVF.

A Detailed Look at the Arnold Schwarzenegger Steroid Cycle

Arnold Schwarzenegger is among the most influential figures in body building history. Many were inspired by the way he looks. The big arms, well sculpted chest and those unmatched biceps inspired many to become like him. Arnold undoubtedly admitted use of steroids during the 1960s. He became the topic of most newspapers and tabloids as to what specific steroids he used to help him build such great body.

Arnold Schwarzenegger steroid cycle is a 26-week cycle combination of Primobolan injectable, Dianabol oral and Deca Durabolin injectable. Primobolan is injected for the first 20 weeks. Deca Durabolin is injected only on the 21st to 26th week. Dianabol is taken orally at a tapering dose from week 1 to week 26.

Primobolan is considered to be the weakest steroid in Arnold Schwarzenegger steroid cycle. However, Primobolan is considered to be an effective fat burner. This is because of its strong ability to bind with androgenic receptors. Its high affinity to receptors is one of its interesting properties. Medically, Primobolan is being used to reduce the size of breast tumors. Dianabol, also known as methandrostenolone, is usually in a pill form. However, it can also be injected under the trade name Reforvit-B. It is more or less the second anabolic steroid produced. This steroid was also considered as the widely used steroid since its production. It is popularly known as Dbol.
